So RealtyTrac says that foreclosure filings in 2013 were only 1.4 million, down 26% from 2012 and the lowest number since the housing crisis began in 2007.
Housing starts for 2013 were 50% of normal according to the National Association of Home Builders and they predict a return to normalcy by late 2015.
Kiplinger forecasts that Salt Lake County and Utah County home values will appreciate in 2014 by 4.2% and 5.2% respectively.
So is it time to build or should you keep trying to find an existing home, in the right place, right condition and right price.
